Salt & Light -- Spreading light and hope to those without a voice. Do you feel God calling you to offer the gift of grace, shedding light and hope in the dark? This new mission provides prison inmates and youth in shelters friendship, encouragement, and hope. We will be maintaining an on-going correspondence via letters and cards with inmates whose names will be made available. To protect our letter writers’ only first names will be provided. “....I want to thank all of your friends for their prayers and please let them know they are working very much when I read them I cried to know that someone really does care!!!!” quoted from a letter of an incarcerated son to his mother. If you would like to explore or be a part of this on-going mission, e-mail Jean Boren.
Nurturing Ministries -- Nurturing one another is a ministry we are all called to through our faith journey of following Christ. Nurturing others through prayer, anointing, sending cards, visiting in hospitals or being present during difficult times are all part of a specific ministry team here at Crossroads UMC. Some of us hear a specific call from God to step into this ministry more specifically and journey with people. If this is the case with you; if you feel called to honor and experience God’s presence in your life and in the lives of others through prayer and listening please come today and talk to other Care & Nurturing Pastors in the Fellowship Hall. We would love to explore with you the possibility of you joining the Nurturing Ministry Team! For more information please contact Jean Hankins.
