HOPE HISTORY
HOPE Preschool first opened its doors to the Ashburn community in 1992. During that first year, there were 60 children enrolled in the preschool. After a building renovation in 1995, we have developed our program to be a model preschool that meets the guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The staff at HOPE Preschool include teachers, many of whom are skilled professionals with educational backgrounds, and assistants with childcare backgrounds. All activities are developmentally planned and supervised by our professional staff. The preschool hires by the Commonwealth of Virginia's standards for religiously exempt child day centers. Children applying for enrollment must be the appropriate age by September 30th and toilet trained by August 1st.

TOURS
We will be scheduling appointments beginning January 4, 2010. HOPE Preschool will be conducting tours from January 13 - February 25. All tours are offered by appointment only on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m., and on Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. Please call the school at 703-729-HOPE (4673) for more information. Please note that we follow the Loudoun County Public School inclement weather policy. Therefore, if Loudoun County is closed, HOPE will be closed, and we will call you to reschedule when we return to school. If Loudoun County has a 1 or 2-hour morning delay, all tours will run as scheduled for the entire day.

Morning Session: 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Afternoon Session: 12:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Please note there are no Friday afternoon classes.

TUITION INFORMATION
The first of nine (9) tuition payments is due on August 1, 2009, which is a pre-payment for May's (2010) tuition. Payments received after the 10th of each month will incur a $25 late fee. A "Tuition Box" is located in the preschool office for your convenience; payments may not be sent in the backpacks. Checks may be made payable to: HOPE Preschool. No cash accepted.

UPCOMING EVENTS
FEBRUARY
February 16-26: Parent/Teacher Conferences
These are regular school days! School is in session and your child will remain in his/her classroom while you have the opportunity to meet with your child's teacher. Please check your child's backpack for specific day and time of your conference.
MARCH
March 2: Registration
Registration will take place for currently enrolled students, siblings of currently enrolled students, and alumni families from 9 - 11 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Forms will be available the morning of registration. Please remember to bring a copy of your child's birth certificate only if he/she will be NEW to the school, as well as a $115 (per child) check made payable to HOPE Preschool for the registration fee. If you are registering more than one child, you may write one check for both students. Sorry, NO cash or credit cards.
March 9: Registration Results Posted
Registration results will be posted on the HOPE Preschool bulletin board at 9 a.m.
March 14: Daylight Saving Time Begins
March 15 - 19: Class Transfer Coupons Available
If you did not receive your preferred class placement, you may complete a coupon and place it in the preschool office by noon on Friday, March 19. These coupons will be sorted by class choice and then randomly selected when a vacancy occurs. If selected, each child receives only ONE change in placement. NO CHANGES WILL TAKE PLACE WITHOUT YOUR APPROVAL - WE WILL CALL TO CONFIRM YOU STILL WISH TO MAKE THE SWITCH!
March 22 & 23: Praise & Celebration
Please see your child's class calendar for specific day and time. This month's item of need is canned fruit, canned vegetables, and diapers.

DIRECTIONS TO HOPE PRESCHOOL
HOPE Preschool is in Crossroads United Methodist Church, located at 43454 Crossroads Drive at the corner of Crossroads Drive and Ashburn Farm Parkway in Ashburn. If you are coming from Rt. 7, take the Claiborne Parkway exit into Ashburn and make a left onto Ashburn Farm Parkway. Crossroads Drive will be on the left at the first traffic light. Proceed through the parking lot to Entrance 3.
