WELCOME
When you become a mom, all your relationships change. It’s like you have landed on a different planet–Planet Mom–and the relationships on Planet Mom don’t look like the ones on your previous planet. Your relationship with yourself is different–you are a mom! Your relationship with your husband, girlfriends, extended family, community and God have all changed. Many of these changes are positive, some are not. Even positive change requires adjustments on your part.
During the 2009-10 MOPS year, we will explore how to thrive in relationships Together on Planet Mom. We would love to have you join us.
WHAT IS MOPS?
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an international organization for all moms of infants to kindergartners, providing an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. MOPS seeks to meet nine specific needs of moms. These needs are for significance, identity, growth, intimacy, instruction, help, recreation, perspective and hope.
In other words, it's a play date for moms! We get together to share experiences and to find out we are not alone. We get a chance to get out with other moms who are going through the same things we are. We learn from each other, celebrate motherhood, support each other, and laugh--a lot!

MEETINGS
At each of our meetings, moms enjoy a chance to socialize with other moms. We have a short time for announcements, followed by a speaker (on a topic moms would be interested in) plus a small group discussion that allows you to get to know other moms more closely. Most months, we also have a creative activity to do together.
We meet at Crossroads on the first and third Friday of each month from 9:15 to 11:15 AM.

MOPPETS
MOPS is for Moms, while MOPPETS is for kids. Children enjoy a safe, clean and stimulating environment while moms enjoy the company of other mothers. MOPPET caregivers are fully screened and they also have a heart for kids.
The MOPPETS program is for children five and under. Each is placed in an age-appropriate class where they receive Biblically-based teaching, play time, entertainment and snacks.

PLAYDATES AND EVENTS
In addition to meetings, we also plan special events either with our kids and/or families or as moms-only nights. We also schedule playgroups which provide a wonderful setting to visit with moms while your children play together.
MOPS Fall Yard Sale!!!
The MOPS Fall Yard Sale at Crossroads United Methodist Church is almost here! Saturday October 24, 2009, from 8am – noon. Items for sale include children and adult clothing, toys, books, videos, baby gear, maternity & layette. Interested in donating any of the items listed above? We’ll be accepting donations Friday, October 23rd, from 6pm – 8pm at Entrance 2 of CUMC (please no large items such as furniture). Tax deduction forms will be available. Questions?
