At Crossroads, we believe that it is in "Crossing the Road" that we experience transformation through the miracle of Christ-centered personal relationships across all walls and boundaries. So, involvement in missions is core to who we are as a Christian community, desiring to be transformed as well as to transform the world through Jesus Christ.
This transformation is based on what the Holy Spirit does in us to reveal and heal our brokenness as well as what the Holy Spirit does through us to share the love and compassion of Jesus with others.

CORNELIUS CORP LEADERSHIP
Guiding the congregation's energies is The Cornelius Corps, a team that takes its lead from the story of Cornelius and his association with the Apostle Peter in the early days of the Christian church. The story recorded in the Book of Acts shows how life-changing spiritual growth occurs when the Holy Spirit brings people together from vastly different backgrounds and into relationships that advance the Kingdom of God.
Therefore, participation in mission calls for commitment to ongoing spiritual formation in the context of shared acts of mercy and justice through faith in Jesus Christ. The Cornelius Corps Team works with the mission teams by providing:
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
At Crossroads, we take to heart the words of Jesus recorded by the early church in Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem [locally], and in all Judea and Samaria [regionally and nationally],
and to the ends of the earth [globally]."
As we experience God's presence and respond to Jesus by engaging in outreach beyond the local community, we find Jesus awaiting us in our Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth in the faces, voices and stories of our neighbors.
SCRIPTURAL REFLECTION
To Loudoun County (Judea): "Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and will praise your Father in heaven." -- Matthew 5:16
To Washington, D.C. and the Nation (Samaria): Then Jesus asked, "Which one of these was a real neighbor?" The teacher answered, "The one who showed mercy." Jesus said, "Go and do the same!" -- Luke 10:36-37
To the ends of the Earth: "God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die." -- John 3:16
